A publisher. A great many things happen after a book is uploaded for press: printing, binding, warehousing, order fulfillment, shipping, marketing, the arrangement and wrangling of book reviews and author signings, etc. These are publisher tasks, and there are many fine companies that handle them. We’re happy to let those companies enjoy their specialties while we work hard at ours.
An agent. Alas, there aren’t enough hours in the day for Plaid Hat to shop books around to publishers. Please see the current Writer’s Market, Guide to Literary Agents, or Literary Market Place (the “LMP”). The first two are quite affordable; the latter is dreadfully expensive. All are available for free at your local library.
